East Devon Trial

Devised by friend of OP Katherine Moore who has more than a bit of bikepacking experience and knows how to enjoy life on two wheels. We're fully assured this route will be a the ideal balance of toil and pleasure and are fully intending to ride it as soon as we can. Coastal bridleways, beach bivvies and many, many ice creams.

Second City Divide

Glasgow (or Edinburgh) to Manchester linking all the good rough stuff bits inbetween - we put this route together ourselves over the past few years.

You can ride it anytime but we're excited by rumours of a women's only edition this year (watch this space), then the second running of the Pennine Rally in June, using a slightly modified version of the route and finally the mass finish event we host in Manchester that's open to anyone. Finishing in Manchester on Sunday 4th September.

Wild about Argyll

This route looks incredible...

Old Chalk Way

A 575km coast to coast bikepacking route along Britain's oldest road. Lyme Regis (Dorset) to Holme-next-the-Sea (Norfolk).

'Expect a mix of well trodden and signposted bridleways, white gravel chalk paths and overgrown grassy desire lines. You'll find rolling green hills, ancient woodland, two seas, ancient market towns, Bronze Age round barrows, Iron Age hill forts and plenty of red kites.'

Badger Divide

Inverness to Glasgow through the gravel roads of the Highlands - already a classic in our eyes. We failed at our first attempt and succeeded at the second a few years later and can't recommend it highly enough - 320(ish)km over 3/4 days is ideal.

Follow on from Glasgow on the Second City Divide down to Manchester to make it a Double Divide. As with the other routes you can ride it anytime but there's also a mass depart planned for Saturday 7th May...

Now I'm not suggesting for one second that's all there is, just what we've got our eye on and some of the best options if you want a pre-planned, well researched route to follow.

There's loads of good bikepacking in Wales too, like the Trans-Cambrian Way. All eyes with be on HT550 this year after Liam Glen's stonking ride earlier this year and Annie Le with an incredible winter completion just this month. No doubt the Pannier.cc folks with stir up some inspiration, GBDURO with still be ace to follow and we'll be at Brother in the Wild again for sure.
